These terms govern your use of the BenchCalc website (benchcalc.app) and mobile application ("the App"), operated by Atelier Barnard SL ("we", "us", "our"). By using the App or website, you agree to these terms.

1. The App

BenchCalc is a reference and calculation tool designed for professional jewellers. It provides calculators, charts, and reference data to assist with common bench jewellery tasks. The App is provided as a convenience tool and should be used alongside professional judgement.

2. Accuracy Disclaimer

While we strive for accuracy in all calculations, charts, and reference data, BenchCalc is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Calculations are based on standard industry formulas and published data. Results should be verified independently for critical or high-value work. We are not liable for any loss, damage, or cost arising from reliance on information provided by the App.

3. Live Metal Prices

Metal prices displayed in the App are sourced from third-party data providers and may be delayed. They are provided for reference only and do not constitute financial advice or a live trading quote. Do not use BenchCalc prices for buying, selling, or trading precious metals.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

BenchCalc may offer free and paid subscription tiers. Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Pricing, billing cycles, and cancellation are governed by the respective platform's terms. We do not process payments directly.

• Free trials, if offered, automatically convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store settings.
• Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their refund policies.

5. Waitlist & Beta Programme

Joining the waitlist or beta programme is free and does not obligate you to purchase the App. Beta testers may receive early access to features that are still in development and may contain bugs. Feedback provided during beta testing may be used to improve the App.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and data in BenchCalc is owned by Atelier Barnard SL or used under licence. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, redistribute, or create derivative works from the App or its contents without written permission.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to access, tamper with, or reverse-engineer the App's code or data.
• Redistribute or resell the App or its content.
• Use automated systems to scrape data from the App.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Atelier Barnard SL shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to errors in calculations, data inaccuracies, or service interruptions.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Balearic Islands, Spain.
